How to Set the Call Recording Source (Android)

On Android, call recording quality depends on which audio input source the software uses — and the best source is different for every device. This guide explains how to change the call recording source in SPYERA so recording captures both sides of the conversation as clearly as possible.

Why the recording source matters

Every Android device exposes several possible audio inputs that can be used to record calls. Each source behaves differently, so recording quality varies. An input that captures both sides perfectly on one phone may capture only one side — or nothing but silence — on another. Because there is no universal setting, finding the right source is a matter of trial and error.

Some Android devices simply cannot record both sides of a conversation, and a few cannot record any audio at all. Trying each available source gives you the best possible chance of a successful recording.

How to change the recording source

  1. Click Call Recording in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click Tools in the upper-right corner.
  3. Click Set Audio Recording Source and choose a source to try.
  4. Click Sync Now to send the change to the target phone.

Allow up to 4 hours for each recording-source change to take effect on the target device.

Test each input source in turn and keep the one that gives the clearest results on your target device. Offering this choice significantly improves your chances of a successful recording compared with using a single fixed input, which often meant nothing was recorded or uploaded at all.
