Empty or Missing Phone Call Records

If some of your recorded phone calls are empty, silent, or missing, it’s usually by design rather than a fault. This article explains the checks SPYERA runs before recording a call, and why certain calls are skipped or cut short to keep the app hidden.

Checks SPYERA runs before recording a call

As soon as a call starts, SPYERA verifies the following before it begins recording:

  • The phone’s system status — it must not already be in use by another process
  • Battery level — must be above 5%
  • Free storage — must have more than 10 MB available

If all checks pass, recording is activated and the call is captured. This process takes about 3–5 seconds, so calls shorter than that are not recorded at all. If any check fails, SPYERA skips the recording, which can leave gaps in your call log.

Why some recordings are empty or incomplete

SPYERA is a hidden app, and staying invisible is its top priority. If the target user interacts with the phone during a call — checking notes, the calendar, or the phone book — SPYERA may stop recording to avoid being discovered. This can produce incomplete files: empty recordings, or files with no sound.

This behaviour is intentional. Running too many processes at once could strain the device and make the user suspicious. Losing a few recordings is far better than risking the whole app being detected.

When to contact support

If every call file is empty, or no calls are being recorded at all, your recording feature may not be enabled or configured correctly. In that case, please contact our support team.
