SPYERA records both phone calls and ambient (surrounding) audio from the target device, and every recording can be downloaded from your web account for later listening. This guide shows how to download and play recorded calls and ambient files, and what to do if a downloaded file will not play.
Where to find and download your recordings
Log in to your SPYERA web account on a desktop or mobile device, then download the files you need:
- Ambient recordings: go to Data > Ambient and click the Download button next to the recording you want.
- Recorded phone calls: go to Data > Call Recording and click the Download button next to the recording you want.
A downloaded file won’t play?
If a downloaded call or ambient recording will not open in your default player, install VLC Player on your desktop or mobile device. VLC is free software that plays almost every audio format, and it is what we recommend. You can download it from videolan.org/vlc.
Alternative fix if VLC still fails
- Right-click the downloaded recording file.
- Choose Rename.
- Change the file extension from .amr to .mp3.
The file should then play in most standard audio players.
