How to Find Supported App Versions in SPYERA

SPYERA captures chats from many of the most popular instant-messaging apps, but supported versions can differ by platform and change over time. If a messaging app such as WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger stops producing logs, the target device has most likely updated that app to a newer version that SPYERA does not support yet. Here is how to check the supported app versions.

Why some apps stop showing logs

When SPYERA is working but you no longer receive logs for a specific IM app, it usually means the app was updated on the target device to a version that is not yet supported. Supported apps and versions also vary between platforms, so check the current list rather than assuming an app is unsupported.

Step 1: Update the installed app list

Your web account may still be showing old app details, so refresh them first:

  1. Open the App Activity data menu and click Control Center in the left menu.
  2. Click the Get Installed Apps icon in the upper-right area of the page.
  3. Wait for the target device to respond and update the list — this can take up to an hour.

Step 2: Compare the app versions

Once the updated app details appear in your web account, check the installed version numbers against SPYERA’s supported list:

  1. Go to HELP > Reference Manuals > Version History.
  2. Select the target phone model.
  3. Compare the installed app versions with the supported app list.

Step 3: Wait for the next SPYERA update

If SPYERA does not yet support the installed app version, support is added in the next update. Updates are released every 2–4 weeks.

When an update is available, the update icon flashes on the right side of your dashboard. Click it to apply the update — SPYERA pushes the update to the target device remotely, with no physical access required.
