Problem With Postcode / Zip Code at Checkout?

If your payment was declined because of a postcode or zip code mismatch, it’s because your bank told us the code you entered doesn’t match the one on file for your card. The good news: this is easy to check and fix.

Why the zip / postcode check fails

The CVC, billing address, and zip/postcode checks are passed straight through from your bank — SPYERA doesn’t set or decide them. When the zip check fails, it means your bank has reported that the code entered doesn’t match its records for your card.

How to fix a postcode or zip code error

  1. Check your billing details. Look at your most recent credit card statement to confirm the exact zip/postcode and billing address your bank has on file, then enter them exactly.
  2. Recently moved? It can take your bank a while to update your new address, so a recent move is the most likely cause.
  3. Confirm with your bank. If you haven’t moved, call your bank to verify the address and postcode they have on record are correct.
  4. Try 3D Secure. If your card supports it, use the 3D Secure payment option to complete the purchase.

Entering the billing address and postcode exactly as your bank has them on file resolves the vast majority of these errors.
